# Countryside audio sources Retrieved and licenses checked against the primary source pages on 2026-10-24. Three vehicle/work recordings were added and their source licenses checked on 2026-10-25. All ten recordings are released under **CC0 1.0 Universal** (public domain dedication): https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ Attribution is optional; the original authors are credited below for provenance. BigSoundBank's additional license confirmation: https://bigsoundbank.com/licenses.html These are illustrative countryside recordings. **No Philippine recording location has been verified**, so do not describe them as authentic Philippine field audio. All files are local MP3, mono, 44,100 Hz, 64 kbit/s, transcoded with FFmpeg from the linked public MP3s. Ambient tracks contain the first 48 seconds; footsteps contain the first 8 seconds; rooster contains the first 6 seconds. The bell uses the full available 1.28-second recording. Frog contains the first 10 seconds, with half amplitude (about -6 dB), a 0.1-second fade in and 0.4-second fade out for quiet incidental playback in the initial mix. On 2026-10-25, every local file was loudness-normalized using FFmpeg loudnorm with a -2 dBTP ceiling and LRA 7. Targets: birds/bell/tractor -18 LUFS, rooster -20, crickets/footsteps/bike/tiller -22, frog -24 and wind -26. No synthetic sound was added. These excerpts are not guaranteed seamless loops; fade or crossfade playback if needed. The total shipped audio is **1,633,094 bytes** (about 1.63 MB). Files load only after audio is unlocked and the countryside enters view. Vehicle/work loops load only when their corresponding action is audible. | Local file | Original title | Author | License | Local duration | Local bytes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `day-birds.mp3` | Countryside | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 48.00 s | 384,854 | | `wind.mp3` | Wind in Tall Grass | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 48.00 s | 384,582 | | `night-crickets.mp3` | AMBIENCE NIGHT FIELD CRICKET 01.wav | sengjinn | CC0 1.0 | 48.00 s | 384,565 | | `rooster.mp3` | Rooster | charlesdu76 | CC0 1.0 | 6.00 s | 48,815 | | `bicycle-bell.mp3` | Bell Bike #2 | DenisChardonnet | CC0 1.0 | 1.28 s | 11,022 | | `footsteps.mp3` | Fast Steps on Concrete | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 8.00 s | 64,673 | | `frog.mp3` | One frog | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 10.00 s | 80,517 | | `tractor-engine.mp3` | Tractor #1 | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 12.00 s | 96,902 | | `tiller-engine.mp3` | Cultivator | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 10.00 s | 80,517 | | `bicycle-roll.mp3` | Bike on Path (MTB) | Joseph SARDIN | CC0 1.0 | 12.00 s | 96,647 | ## Exact primary sources and downloaded inputs - **Countryside:** https://bigsoundbank.com/countryside-s0097.html - Download: https://bigsoundbank.com/UPLOAD/mp3/0097.mp3 - Source duration: 1:52. No listening or in-browser mixing check was performed as part of asset acquisition. The 2026-10-25 browser check measured the real decoded output through an AnalyserNode and verified audible signal inside the countryside, silence outside, and day/night playback. Physical speaker/headphone listening and calibration remain unperformed.
